National Honor Society

Welcome to the Verrado Chapter of National Honor Society.  The organization is comprised of students who have exemplify the four pillars of NHS - scholarship, leadership, character and service.  Members meet monthly and work together throughout the school year on NHS service projects and fundraisers, and also work individually on service projects of their choice.

CURRENT NEWS AND EVENTS!

Applications for potential NHS members are being distributed the week of January 21st.  All students who meet the grade-level criteria for cumulative weighted GPA (4.0+ for sophomores, 3.85+ for juniors, 3.80+ for seniors) will receive an application packet.  If you do not receive a packet, please verify your GPA with the guidance department before contacting Mrs. Burgess in Room C7.  The application packet lists the due date for application submission.  Please note applicants must meet all additional criteria for admittance as listed in the packet and be selected by the Faculty Council in order to be inducted into NHS.  SENIORS PLEASE NOTE:  Your due date and selection date are earlier due to your need to participate in NHS activities BEFORE INDUCTION.  Please see Mrs. Burgess in C7 ASAP for more information. There will be two dates for Application Help Sessions - prospective members can attend to have their packets reviewed or questions answered before the application deadline.  Please watch KVHS announcements or check back soon with the website for the dates, times and locations!
