Amy Nooden is joining the Desert Edge community this year. She spent last year at the Avondale Elementary School District advocating for the arts and teaching music (K-8) to four schools. Mrs. Nooden previously taught at Wheaton North High School in Illinois and built a large choral program that participated in performances at Lincoln Center (New York) and performed master works during the spring. Although teaching classical choral singing and music theory is her passion, she spent many years as a performer in various bands and as a pianist for community musicals and various rehearsal settings. Mrs. Nooden holds a Masters Degree in Music from Northern Illinois University and a Masters Degree from Aurora University in Educational Leadership. "I am extremely excited to be working with my colleagues, the students and the administration at Desert Edge as we continue to build a comprehensive, top rated arts program in the West Valley".
