SENIOR THESIS
As a final project for not only English class, butfor their time at Agua Fria, students will complete a comprehensive thesispaper.  Mimicking that of theses writtenfor Master’s and Doctoral programs of study at universities, students will usethe entire semester to put together the following (unless otherwise noted, eachportion does not need to exceed one page):

 

Page(i) Title Page (full name, graduating class, my name,date)

Page (ii)   “BiographicalSketch” (third-person bio /general plans / goals / progress)

Page(iii) “Dedication” (written at your discretion)

Page (iv)   “Acknowledgements”(this is your “thank you”speech; who do you thank for your
  achievement and why?)

Page (v) “Forward”– (two pages minimum) Recalleach year of your high school career. Analyze
memories: academic, socially, personally; your grades, favoriteand worse
assignments; your teachers. How would you describe how you handledyourself?  Would
you change anything?

Page 1-5   Body(five page minimum) Write abouta topic of research related to your high school
  education.  You are to address a concern you had with youreducational acquisition
  and provide a research supported suggestion. A minimumof three researched print
  sources is required. Students are also required tointerview at least one teacher they
  had from each of their four years at AguaFria and incorporate interviews conducted
  with three to four students from eachgrade level: all research done in support of
  the selected topic.
