Graduation Requirements CLASS OF 2013 - All students are required to earn a total of 28 credits. The credits shall be earned as follows: English I, II, III, IV..........................................4 credits Mathematics*..................................................4 credits Science**.......................................................3 credits Social Science.................................................3 credits Personal Development (P.E./Health)...................1 credit International Language.....................................1 credit Fine Arts or CTE..............................................2 credits Electives.......................................................10 credits Total............................................................ 28 TOTAL CREDITS *The class of 2013 and future classes will be required to earn four (4) credits of Math including Algebra 1B, Algebra II, Geometry, and an upper level Math class (i.e. College Algebra, Honors Pre-Calculus, Statistics). **One science credit must be Biology beginning with the class of 2012. Students also must MEET or EXCEED on the Reading, Writing, and Math portions of the AIMS (Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards) test. University Entrance Requirements The required courses for entrance to Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and the University of Arizona are as follows: English I, II, III, IV.........................................4 credits Mathematics (Algebra IB, Algebra II, Geometry, Higher Level Math)....4 credits Laboratory Science..........................................3 credits Social Science................................................2 credits International Language...................................2 credits Fine Arts.......................................................2 credits Colleges within each university may require other criteria for admission.
