AIMS Testing - Spring 2013
Spring testing is near and we are anticipating all Verrado students to successfully demonstrate their knowledge of the Arizona Academic Standards. Pursuant to ARS 15-71 all schools are required to assess student learning using the AIMS test, a criterion referenced exam that is aligned with the Arizona State Standards and District Curriculum. The results of this test give our district valuable information regarding the teaching and learning that is taking place and the level to which our students are progressing academically.
This spring, all sophomores (10th graders) will take the AIMS Writing, Reading, Math and Science tests. Juniors (11th graders) and Seniors (12th graders) who have not yet passed the Writing, Reading or Math test will retest to meet state and district graduation requirements.
