MHS Guidance!

Counselors are here to assist students in resolving academic, vocational, personal, and social difficulties by offering alternatives, listening, and referring students to other agencies that may help.  The counselors at Millennium may act as liaisons among teachers, parents, and students. ALL students are assigned to a guidance counselor by last names (see below). Students can sign up in the Guidance Office for an appointment.

Dual Enrollment

Dual Enrollment is a partnership between Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) and Millennium High School. This program allows lower division (100-200 level) courses to be taught at the high school during regular school hours. These courses are counted towards high school requirements, giving students the opportunity to earn both high school and college credits for the same course.

Students can dual enroll for certain classes at MHS. See attached registration form for details. Registration for dual enrollment courses occurs early in the semester. Teachers will provide students with the forms required for registration (see attached).

Upon completion of these courses, students can use the credits toward a degree at EMCC or transfer credits to other colleges or universities. It is important to know that out-of-state or private colleges and universities will not always accept these transfer credits. If interested in an out-of-state school, it is best to contact the school directly to determine if they will accept the transfer grades. In state universities will accept most classes.

If you have any questions regarding dual enrollment, email Melissa Mangahas at mmangaha@aguafria.org or call 623-932-7201 x12017.
