Thank you to all of our adult volunteers!

Volunteering in our schools brings people together. It plays a key role in connecting teachers with students. Creating a healthier school environment and a stronger community helps to develop our youth into positive, forward-looking adults. Volunteering in a school is an opportunity to bridge gaps between diverse ages, races and genders to create lasting relationships. Volunteering provides a sense of personal satisfaction and a feeling that you can make a difference-and you can!

Agua Fria, Desert Edge, Millennium and Verrado High Schools all have many adult volunteers. These individuals have devoted their time and energy to making our schools and communities better.

Adult volunteers have worked with teachers and students helping to tutor and sometimes just listen and mentor. Each school has adult volunteers working in all capacities, such as helping coaches at sports events, traveling on field trips, helping the Drama and Art Departments, assisting with music and band, and work in the school libraries. Volunteers have worked with different clubs and organizations to assist students with projects and even encouraged students to volunteer. Adult volunteers, representing different jobs in the community, have conducted "Mock Interviews" with students helping them to understand the interview process and what the job market is offering.

The administration and faculty of Agua Fria Union High School District want to thank all of our volunteers for their care and dedication to Agua Fria, Desert Edge, Millennium and Verrado High Schools. We are all better off due to the tireless energy of these hard working volunteers.
