Verrado High School is an innovative school based upon the recommendations for school reform found in Breaking Ranks II. Verrado opened in 2006 and focuses on promoting rigor through a relevant curriculum and positive relationships. Verrado supports the Agua Fria High School District's mission of "All Students College Ready".

FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOP

Verrado High School's Guidance and Career Center will be holding a Financial Aid Workshop this Thursday, January 28th from 9am to 4:30pm.  Financial Aid officers from three different institutions will be on hand to help seniors fill out the Financial Aid forms.  Parents are welcome to attend as well. 

If you miss the opportunity to attend the workshop on Thursday, then please plan to attend College Goal Sunday.  It is a free FAFSA line by line workshop on Saturday January 30th at Estrella Mountain Community College or Sunday January 31st at Glendale Community College, as well as various other locations around the valley on both days.  More information for this program can be found at collegegoalsunday.com

Monday, February 15th, 2010 - President's Day - No School.

Attention Class of 2010 - Verrado Seniors.  Have you placed your cap and gown order?  If not, please visit the bookstore to pick up the order form.  The total cost for the cap, gown & tassel is $37.50 (Shipping, handling and tax are included).  Orders are due by the end of January 2010.

The Josten's Sophomore Ring Presentation has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 17 during advisory. Josten's will be here during both lunches Thursday Feb 25th & Friday Feb 26th for ring sales, and the evening of Thursday Feb 25th for Josten's Family Night in the community room.

Verrado High School will host its second semester Student Showcase for the 2009-10 school year.  Please join us on Tuesday, March 23rd for an exciting evening in which you will have an opportunity to view student work and visit with teachers, coaches, and club sponsors.
