Agua Fria High School is a Highly Performing school, earning a B from the Arizona Department of Education, which serves a student population of over 1,700.  Though we maintain a rich heritage and tradition, AFHS has undergone continuous expansion and modernization since it opened in the fall of 1955.  Recently, covered parking canopies with 235-watt solar panels were added to the faculty and student parking lots, as well as at the bus loading/unloading area. Agua Fria received 6,104 solar panels at no cost to the district; the project being funded by Sundial Arizona.

Agua Fria High School is a comprehensive high school with full academic, fine arts, and athletic programs. AFHS has Career and Technical Education programs that include Career Discovery, Allied Health Services, Computer Technology, Law and Public Safety, Construction, and Air Force Junior ROTC program.
