Guillermo Flores, Mathematics

  • Hello, my name is Guillermo Flores and I am a math teacher at Desert Edge High School.  I am in my 24th year of teaching mostly all in high school math.  This year I will be teaching three sections of Algebra I Honors and two sections of Algebra I and the Fast Track Honors Algebra I class.  I was born in East Los Angeles, CA and moved to Yuma, AZ at the tender age of 14 years old.  In Yuma, I graduated from Cibola High School and then attended Arizona Western College for two years before transferring to Arizona State University.  After recieving a Bachelor's Degree from ASU, I attended Northern Arizona University and obtained a Master's degree in Bilingual Education.  I recently obtained my second Master's degree in Educational Leadership from NAU.  

     

    I am married to my beautiful wife who also teaches at DEHS (English) and I have three wonderful kids 18, 10 and 9 years old.  In our spare time, we enjoy traveling and spending time on the beach.  I am an avid sports fan and I follow all the Arizona professional teams plus I am a die hard Sun Devil Fan!!!!
