Richard Randell (Mathematics)

Mr. Randell

  • I am originally from Northeast Ohio, about an hour east of Cleveland. I lived in Ohio my whole life up until 2015 when I moved to Arizona. I have a wonderful wife and two beautiful daughters that are 8 and 10 years old. I graduated college from Kent State University with a Bachelors degree in December of 2013. I served in the Army, been a service manager of a motorcycle shop, a maintenance coordinator in a machine shop, and a parts manager. I enjoy shooting pool, playing golf, and watching sports and spending time with friends and family. I am a BIG Ohio State Buckeye fan and enjoy Saturday game day with friends. I have taught various levels of math, and for this my 7th year at Desert Edge High School,  I will be teaching Algebra 2 & Geometry. I am a strong believer in Respect, Honor, Integrity and advocating for yourself. These are very important to me for high school, life and for future careers. I am also the head boys golf coach and if you are interested in playing the wonderful game please contact me.

For this year my goals are to help all students reach their highest potentials and to show an improvement in their math abilities and understanding. I want all students to always remember that math is about understanding what you are calculating not just plugging numbers into a calculator.
