Physics as a 9th grader will allow students to utilize their current algebra skills in their science class by building and experimenting with both physics and chemistry. This course will include basic principles that observe and predict phenomena of the natural world. Some clear concepts that will be included are: force and motion, momentum and collisions, along with atomic structure with physical and chemical properties. The true emphasis of a physics-first sequence will be focused on conceptual understanding versus mathematical manipulation.*All freshman are required to take this course. Freshman Physics is also offered at a Honors level.
