Allison Nau, English
Hello, Desert Edge!
My name is Allison Nau. I’m originally from south Florida but I have lived all over the country. After attending the University of Nevada Las Vegas as a film major, I decided I’d pursue a career in education at University of Phoenix. I began my teaching career in the Balsz school district in Phoenix, though I went on to teach in the San Francisco Bay Area for five years. During this time, I taught upper elementary (all subjects) and middle school (ELA and social studies). Teaching middle school helped me realize that I prefer working with older students. While younger students are imaginative and fun, older students are more capable of analysis and finding deeper meaning in literature. I’m very excited to be at Desert Edge for the second year, and it’s so good to be back in Arizona!
I look forward to sharing my love of learning and literature with the students of Desert Edge. Here’s to a great year!
ParentVUE is a convenient home-to-school communication tool that allows a parent/guardian to keep track of their student's academic progress online. Parents/guardians may visit the password-protected site to view school program announcements and review their student's schedule, grades, discipline issues, class assignments and resources, period attendance, and course history. Registration form for ParentVUE is in the Resources section. Students can access StudentVUE using their school-assigned computer username and password.
