My name is Paige Bateman and I am going into my 13th year at Desert Edge. I was born and raised in Arizona and attended Agua Fria High School where I lettered in both Volleyball and Basketball. I then attended Azusa Pacific University, in southern California earning a degree in Physical Education, while playing basketball. In August of 2004 I started at Desert Edge as a paraprofessional in the MD classroom. A year later I started my Master's Degree in Special Education and in 2006 began teaching in the Medically Fragile room. I co-taught one year but the other nine have been spent with the most amazing students on campus. I love my job and I'm so thankful to have had the opportunity to work with so many students in my time here. I also spent the first 12 years coaching basketball but recently stepped down to focus on other aspects of life.
