Open Enrollment (Variance Application)
We know you have many choices in selecting the best education for your child, and we thank you for making AFHSD your first choice. While every child living within AFHSD boundaries is assured placement in their neighborhood school, a different campus might offer a specialized program or focus that better meets the interests and needs of the individual student. AFHSD's annual Open Enrollment process allows families the opportunity to apply for a variance to attend a school other than their neighborhood school in the next academic year.
Open Enrollment is a great opportunity for students in the West Valley to opt into the Agua Fria High School District Schools. Students must apply for a variance to attend a different school by completing an Open Enrollment Application.
*Open Enrollment (Variance) application for 2026-27 school year will open on December 15th.

OPTION 2: Download the Printable Open Enrollment Form, complete and submit it to the requested school.
