The Church at Litchfield Park Community Service Scholarship

 

The Church at Litchfield Park

will award five $2,000 scholarships to seniors graduating in May 2025 who plan to further their education in the fall of 2025. One scholarship is reserved for a graduating church member. The others are open to seniors who attend any high school in the Agua Fria High School District. Applications will be screened, and finalists will be interviewed on Saturday morning, April 20th via Zoom. The Church’s objective is to open doors to higher education for students who are committed to both community service and their academic goals. The scholarship will be awarded following verification of enrollment to the vocational school, community college or university of the student’s choice. The award will be sent directly to the college or university. Requirements: Application, essay, official high school transcript, and an interview for the finalists. 

ESSAY

In a 1-2 page essay, please explain how you have been involved in service to your community. In your essay, describe how participating in community service was beneficial to those you served and to you. Make sure you are specific in stating how serving others may impact your future goals. (Essays should be written in no more than 12 pt. font, double-spaced, with 1” margins.)

The application, essay, and official high school transcript must be delivered (in person or by mail) to The Church at Litchfield Park by 4pm on Thursday, April 4th . Zoom interviews will be required for all finalists. The interviews will take place on Saturday morning, April 20th.
