The AFUHSD embraces the concept of Advisory for ALL students at ALL schools in the District.  This is an additional class that students have at least one time per week that is designed to focus on the college/career, personal/social, and academic development of students.  The purpose of Advisory is to provide an effective educational program that ensures every student feels a sense of belonging to a familiar peer group at school and has at least one adult on campus who knows him/her well and helps the student navigate high school successfully and graduate ready for college, a career, and life.

The goals for the Advisory Program are centered on the concept that the District C.A.R.E.S. about ALL students.
