About the Governing Board
The Agua Fria Union High School District is governed by an elected board who serve four-year terms. The five members of the board dedicate numerous hours of unpaid service to the District.
Governing Board meetings are generally held on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. (Please refer to the Meeting Schedule below) The meetings are currently held at the Agua Fria Union High School District Office located at 1481 N. Eliseo Felix Jr. Way, Avondale. The meetings are open to the public.
Pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 38-431.01(H), regularly scheduled meetings provide an open Call to the Public, allowing individuals an opportunity to address the Governing Board on any issue within the jurisdiction of the Governing Board. Governing Board members are not permitted to take action on any matter that is not on the Agenda.

In accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes subsection 38-431.02.A.2, public notices of Governing Board meetings are posted at the District Office, 1481 N. Eliseo Felix Jr. Way, Avondale, AZ 85323 and are posted online through BoardDocs. Please click here to be taken to the BoardDocs site.
Items may be added to or deleted from the agenda up to 24 hours prior to the Governing Board meeting.
The Agua Fria Union High School District is operated in accordance with policies established by the Board and regulations developed by the Superintendent. The Board, which represents the state and local community, adopts policies after careful deliberation, and the school administration implements the policies through specific regulations and procedures. The Board and administration evaluate the effects of the policies and procedures and revise them as necessary.
