The Communication and Strategic Alliances Department plays a crucial role in facilitating effective communication, marketing and branding of schools, fostering community engagement, and building strategic partnerships.
At its core, the department functions as the primary liaison between the AFHSD and its stakeholders, media outlets, and the general public. The department leverages various mediums, such as press releases, social media, signature events, newsletters/mailers, and internal communication platforms, to reach the intended audiences effectively. With these efforts in mind, this contributes to a positive school climate and the overall success of the district's educational mission.

The Community Connect is a semi annual publication that is mailed out to the homes within our district boundaries.
