Employee Referral Program

  • Agua Fria Union High School District (AFUHSD) is committed to finding, hiring and retaining the very best employees possible. We are looking for bus drivers, maintenance workers, nurses, nutrition service workers, and teachers (specifically math, science, and ESS). Historically, some of our top talent is found through referrals from people who already work in the AFUHSD. We would like to encourage AFUHSD employees to share information about employment opportunities and at the same time reward employees for doing so.

    The Employee Referral Incentive Program is one in which we hope district employees will participate. The goal of this program is to help hire staff.        

    How do I refer an applicant?

    Contact friends, family or acquaintances and refer them to apply for open positions in AFUHSD. Applicants apply at aguafria.org/jobs

    The referred applicant must list the employee’s name on their Frontline application as the person who referred them to AFUHSD.  Referred applicants must be new to the district.  

    Who is eligible for the referral incentive?

    Any AFUHSD employee is eligible for the referral incentive with the exception of employees on the administrative salary schedule.

    When will I get paid?

    For every applicant you refer and they are hired, you will receive the following on your paycheck. 

    $150 per candidate after the referred candidate reaches 30 calendar days of employment (the employment waiting period may not include summer months, depending on the position type).

    $150  per candidate after the referred candidate is employed at the conclusion of the semester (the employment waiting period may not include summer months, depending on the position type).

    For every applicant in a hard to fill area* you refer and they are hired, you will receive the following:

    $300 per candidate after the referred candidate reaches 30 calendar days of employment (the employment waiting period may not include summer months, depending on the position type).

    $300 per candidate after the referred candidate is employed at the conclusion of the semester (the employment waiting period may not include summer months, depending on the position type).
