  • Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS): The Arizona State Retirement System contribution rates can be found here. This 401A Plan is designed to provide supplemental income to you upon retirement.     Arizona State Retirement System Long Term Disability (LTD): The ASRS Long Term Disability contribution rate can be found here, provided through your participation with ASRS. The plan pays 66 2/3% of your monthly salary after you have been disabled for 180 days. Your LTD benefit will continue until you recover, are no longer under medical care, retire, or are no longer eligible for benefits under ASRS guidelines, whichever comes first.

    Tax Deferred 403(b)/457(b) Investment Plans:  Internal Revenue Service laws allow employees of public schools to participate in tax-sheltered 403(b) or 457(b) plans to set aside savings for retirement on a pre-tax basis. The district also offers a post-tax investment option with a ROTH 403(b).  The Agua Fria Union High School District has appointed TSA Consulting Group, Inc. to the be the Third Party Administrator for these plans.

    Leaves: Full-time employees qualify for a variety of leaves including discretionary, sick, jury duty, military, family and medical, parental, bereavement and other absences as approved by the Superintendent. Please contact Human Resources for more details regarding a specific type of leave.
