ASVAB for the class of 2025 is scheduled for March 19th and March 21st.
(As those days approach, we will update with more information.)
If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Trina Hautala (thautala@aguafria.org).
What is the ASVAB: The “Student” ASVAB is for career exploration. It is recommended for students to take the ASVAB their Junior year in high school. The ASVAB will identify the students' strengths and determine what career paths are best suited for them. It also helps recruitment officers determine an individual’s suitability for particular branches of service or for specific military jobs. It can be used by the Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Coast Guard.
True: Taking the ASVAB does not commit you to anything. The ASVAB can help you determine your own interests and aptitude even if you are not planning to enter the military or are undecided.
False: Taking the ASVAB means I am planning or have to join the military.
The ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. It is administered annually to more than one million military applicants, high school and post-secondary students.
