• Thank you for your inquiry to become a volunteer.  We are excited to partner with our Desert Edge families to build the connection between home and school with caring individuals who want to offer their time, skills, and talents. We are always looking for assistance with lunch duty, athletic events, as a chaperone, and more.  
     
    Click HERE to be directed to the Volunteer Application. It must be filled out in its entirety and brought back to DEHS to be notarized and sent to the District Office.
     
    To be a non-coach volunteer, you need either a Fingerprint Clearance or a Fingerprint Clearance Card. The District Office is happy to take your fingerprints, free of charge, at the District Office and submit them to the Arizona Department of Education for Fingerprint Clearance, which will be valid for 2 years. It is currently taking about 8 weeks to receive clearance after sending the fingerprints in. Some volunteers who do not want to wait 8+ weeks to start volunteering, choose to apply for a Fingerprint Clearance card directly through the Arizona Department of Safety on their own, costing them roughly $65 and cannot be reimbursed by the district. You will need to look for the "IVP - Public/Charter - NonCertified" Card.  The process tends to be much quicker, especially if submitted electronically.
