Education & Career Action Plans (ECAP)

  • For the graduating class of 2013 and beyond, the Arizona State Board of Education approved Education & Career Action Plans (ECAP) for all students (grades 9 - 12).  An ECAP reflects a student's current plan of coursework, career plans, and extended learning opportunities that will increase their opportunities after high school and lead them toward their goals for their future.

At DEHS, we use the Naviance website, www.naviance.com, to work with students to develop, update, and save their ECAP (portfolio).  Advisory lessons, grade-level meetings, field trips, events and individual student-counselor meetings complement the work done on Naviance.

Parents can see the work students are doing as Naviance can be accessed from any computer with internet access.  Ask your student to show you what they have saved so far in regards to planning for their life after high school!
