In the fall, sophomores will embark on their chosen Career Academy journey. To equip students with the essential knowledge and skills for success, we will host career readiness seminars and invite guest speakers to pathway courses. These initiatives will prepare students for workplace demands, provide valuable industry insights, and inspire them to pursue their post-high school goals confidently.
Career Readiness Seminars
These seminars focus on highly valued professional skills in the job market, with a mix of interactive workshops, lectures, and hands-on activities. Seminars will focus on providing real-world insights and building practical skills in effective communication, teamwork, time management, problem-solving and more. Students will develop personal branding skills with the formation of an “elevator pitch,” displaying the student’s industry knowledge and employability skills.
Guest Speakers in Pathway Courses
Guest speakers, integrated into the regular curriculum of pathway courses, will provide continuous exposure to different career perspectives. These sessions, scheduled throughout the academic year, will offer industry insights, motivational speaking, and Q&A sessions, inspiring students to explore various jobs.
