• Coldwater Academy

Coldwater Academy is a non-traditional program serving Junior and Senior students of Agua Fria Union High School District to become college and career ready despite having fallen behind in earning credits.  CWA has offered students the opportunity to re-cover required credits for graduation since 2005 and is located on the Agua Fria High School campus. Students re-cover both core and elective credits using the Odysseyware online learning curriculum that is aligned with the state of Arizona’s college and career readiness standards.  Students are placed at CWA through a referral from a home school guidance counselor. Academic, productivity, and behavioral expectations are discussed with students at intake. Students who complete their credits with CWA are still deemed graduates of their home school and are invited to participate in all graduation activities with their home school.  CWA has received recognition for contributing to the district’s graduation rate.
