    New Directions is a program within the Agua Fria Union High School District that focuses on helping students with any social-emotional and/or behavioral needs that interfere with learning.  The mission of New Directions is to provide a positive, individualized and multifaceted program to ensure student success.

    Students will participate in an academic program that includes a motivational behavioral management system, along with opportunities for group and individual counseling sessions. Students are placed at New Directions through an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process from the Exceptional Student Services Department from the students' home campus.  The goal of ND is to help students make progress with their social-emotional and/or behavioral needs with the goal of transitioning back to their home campuses.
